The final installment of the Chinese MMA vs.The World series will take a look at LFC’s system of rules, as well as some prospective fighters the promotion can add to their roster in the near future.
Preview: Strikeforce: Barnett vs. Kharitonov
Strikeforce’s Heavyweight Grand Prix is the last hurrah for the california based promotion. I can say with almost all certainty that once this series is concluded, the organization is going to join the ranks of the other mixed martial arts organizations the UFC has gobbled up over the years. Zuffa is already cannibalizing the promotion by moving some of Strikeforce’s biggest stars to the UFC. Nick Diaz, Cung Lee, Mayhem Miller and Alistair Overeem have already been drafted and as time goes on more fighters will join their ranks. If Dana White feels kind the winner of the tournament will get a shot or at least a title qualifying match for the UFC heavyweight championship. This is how the card breaks down.

Review: UFC 134
The UFC’s first show in Brazil since 1998 turned out to be one of the most action packed card’s in the promotions history. It may have something to do with the energy of the Brazilian crowd or the 100,000 dollar bonuses that Dana White was handing out. Either way this card was definitely one for the record books (and your DVD collection).
Chinese MMA Vs. The World Part 3

Television deals are the crux of any successful MMA organization. The success of The Ultimate Fighter 1 and the subsequent deal with Spike TV, was instrumental in not only the survival of the UFC, but was also responsible for its expansion. Strikeforce airing events on Showtime transformed a regional promotion into a North American MMA powerhouse. Even Belllator FC’s deal with MTV 2 paved the way for them being the front runner for the UFC’s replacement on Spike TV.
UFC 134: Preview

Also a post surgery Antonio ‘Minotauro” Nogueira takes on The Ultimate Fighter 10 finalist Brendan Schaub in an old guard vs. new school match up.
Chinese MMA Vs.The World Part 2

If AOW FC is the UFC of China, then Legend Fighting Championship is the pre-Zuffa Strikeforce. With savvy business tactics and creative match making, Legend FC has made an impact on the Chinese MMA scene in a short time. Focusing exclusively on Asian Pacific fighters, Legend FC has put on five solid events in eighteen months, with their most recent event Legend Fighting Championship 5 which aired in July.
Awesome of the Week
The Awesome of the Week award goes to the hardest working man in Hollywood Donald Glover (No relation to Danny Glover of Lethal Weapon fame. No one is that awesome, although Donald comes surprisingly close). Most people will recognize Donald from his roll as former high school football star Troy Barnes on NBC’s community, but that only scratches the depths of how talented he is.
Chinese MMA Vs. The World
With the Zuffa purchase of Strikeforce this year, the landscape of North American MMA will never be the same. Zuffa isn’t interested in competing with other MMA organizations anymore; they have bigger fish to fry. The acquisition of Strikeforce wasn’t about cementing their dominance in North America because, let’s be honest, Strikeforce was never a threat to the UFC’s stranglehold on MMA. The purchase was the first shot fired in the war against the UFC’s real competition which isn’t the half dead body of professional boxing. UFC’s real competition is professional Baseball, Football and Basketball(And I guess Hockey).
